Delivering disaster risk research for the Sendai Framework and the 26th Conference of the Parties (COP26)

10–11 September 2020

The meeting is being hosted by the School of Geosciences, University of Edinburgh, at the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation and co-organised with the British Geological Survey and Heriot Watt University.

The focus of the conference will be on research for disaster risk management and climate change adaptation with interactive sessions on a range of topics with the aim of strengthening the links between these two areas.

We encourage you to contact the organising committee before 27 February 2020 if you wish to propose or chair a session. Sessions co-organised by researchers and practitioners are particularly welcome.

Please submit your session title, a short summary of what you would like to do and an explanation of how it relates to the theme of the conference. We would like each session to contribute three key messages from the UKADR community so please think creatively about how you’d like to do this.

To contact the organisers about this or to request further information, please email UKADR2020@ed.ac.uk. Registration will start in early spring. Expect a call for abstracts in March.
