UK Alliance for Disaster Research Annual Conference

UKADR 2022: call for session proposals

The theme of this year’s conference will be ‘Disaster research and innovation at a time of global uncertainty’.

We hope this focus will encourage an inclusive discussion on major global challenges (e.g. the climate crisis, conflict and emerging from the pandemic) and the role of disaster research and innovation in a time of uncertainty.

We encourage sessions on applied research that are responding to these global challenges and on the future of disaster research and innovation during turbulent times. Sessions co-organised by researchers and practitioners are particularly welcome.

Please use this form if you would like to submit an proposal for a session. Please include the title for your session and a summary of what you would like to do and how it relates to the theme of the conference (up to 150 words). You will need to specify the ‘style’ of your session (workshop or based on abstracts) but please note that we will only be able to accept two workshops as we would like to encourage inclusivity and a range of oral presentations.

To contact the organisers about this or to request further information, please email UKADR2020@ed.ac.uk.

The call for session proposals has been extended to 25 April 2022.

IMPORTANT

We understand that some users have having problems submitting the form. If you do have any issues, please email your submission directly to ukadr2020@ed.ac.uk.
